Samsung Galaxy Note 7 :The Most Superior Mobile Phone at The Time

The just released Galaxy Note 7 has become the first handset from Samsung to feature iris scanning technology, which could possibly pave the way for the company to do away with other security methods, such as PIN, pattern, simple swipe, and even fingerprint, even if that is quite unlikely. With iris scanning arriving in the Galaxy Note 7, you don’t need to touch the device to verify your identity and can access the phone by just looking at the screen. For the uninitiated, iris scanning uses mathematical pattern recognition of images of the iris – the thin, colored ring of your eye that opens and shuts the pupil to regulate the amount of light reaching the retina. Just like your fingerprints, your iris pattern is also uniquely different and cannot be changed or replicated, making devices with iris scanning technology highly secure.
Now, in a post on its website, Samsung explains the hardware and technology behind its iris scanner in the Galaxy Note 7. According to the company, the device stores your registered iris information as an encrypted code safely in its hardware using its KNOX security platform. Whenever you want to access content, such as a protected app, the device first captures your iris pattern for recognition, extracts and digitizes it, and then proceeds to match it with the encrypted code to provide access. You can be sure that no one else apart from you can access your device in case it is stolen or lost because the Note 7 registers the iris information of only one person.

Which markets will receive the dual-SIM variant is not clear

Samsung unveiled its smartphone Galaxy Note 7 on Tuesday and most of the phone's features turned out to be in line with earlier leaks. At the event, Samsung did not announce whether the smartphone will have a dual-SIM variant. However, the global Samsung page - alongside Samsung India, Samsung China, and Samsung Russia - shows the presence of a hybrid dual-SIM card slot. In the meanwhile, the Samsung UK and Samsung Italy pages show a single SIM card slot.
As we can see in the image above, taken from the Samsung India website, the presence of second SIM card slot is plainly marked for users to utilise instead of the microSD card. To recall, the Galaxy Note 7 supports microSD cards (up to 256GB). The image seen below on the other hand, taken from the Samsung Italy site, shows a rather similar card slot, however, with no space or marking for the second SIM card - indicating such a card slot can only be used for a single SIM card.
As of now, there is no word about a dual-SIM variant of Galaxy Note 7 in other markets, or exactly which markets will get such a variant. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be launched in India on August 11, however, no pricing details are available yet. It is also uncertain whether the company will bring the dual-SIM variant to India.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 sports some impressive features and specifications, such as the 5.7-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) dual-edge Super Amoled display and S Pen stylus. The smartphone comes with Snapdragon 820 and Exynos 8890 SoC options for different regions, coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It also sports an iris scanner feature, which isn't the first time a manufacturer has offered the feature, but the first time Samsung has on a smartphone.

It also sports an iris scanner feature, which isn't the first time a manufacturer has offered the feature, but the first time Samsung has on a smartphone.
Take a look at just what the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 offers that's new, making the smartphone unique both in the company's own lineup as well as the global smartphone market. Here are the five new features of the Galaxy Note 7 that you need to know about:

1. Iris scanner
As we mentioned, other manufacturers have included this feature before, and even Samsung had implemented the iris scanner on its Galaxy Tab Iris tablet. However, this is Samsung's first smartphone to feature an Iris Scanner. The iris scanner feature lets you unlock the smartphone by looking at it, and according to the company's claims, it is more secure than a fingerprint scanner (which is also available on the phone).
2. Upgraded S Pen
Samsung's S Pen stylus is synonymous with the Note series but this time around it has seen a major upgrade. Now the stylus is not only dust and water resistant with IP68 certification, it also has a finer point with a tip which is 0.7mm smaller than its predecessor. The pressure sensitivity on S Pen has also been increased to 4,096 levels from 2,048 on earlier models. In terms of software that goes along with the stylus, you can now create gif images out of videos with the help of S Pen and other additions include new Air Command functions for magnifying and translation.
3. Samsung Cloud
Samsung unveiled its cloud service named Samsung Cloud at the Galaxy Note 7's launch event, and the smartphone is the first to come with access to the service. Samsung is giving buyers of the phablet users 15GB of free storage to backup the data on their devices. Apart from backup, the cloud service also allows for easy transfer of data, apps, settings, and layouts between devices.
4. Corning Gorilla Glass 5
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 became the first smartphone to feature Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, which was unveiled last month and is said to be the strongest glass the popular glassmaker has made yet. The company has even claimed that the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 in its internal lab tests survived up to 80 percent of the time when dropped face-down from a height of up to 1.6 metres.
5. HDR streaming
Samsung's latest entry to the Galaxy Note series is also the first smartphone to support content streaming in High Dynamic Range or HDR. The South Korean smartphone manufacturer has partnered with Amazon to provide HDR streaming on Samsung Galaxy Note 7. In order to make this possible, the company took its expertise in TV manufacturing and adapted the technology to its mobile phone chipset.

Along with iris scanning technology, the Galaxy Note 7 offers a separate Secure Folder for storing private apps and files that can be accessed using your fingerprint, iris scanner, pattern, or PIN. You can use the Secure Folder to keep your private and personal information, like your banking details, completely separate on the device, as well as block access to specific games or content for children. If this sounds familiar to you, that’s because it is similar to Samsung’s KNOX security platform found on its other devices that allows you to manage two different profiles for work and normal usage.
So, these are official specifications of upcoming Galaxy Note 6 / Note 7. From these specifications, it looks like the most superior mobile phone at the time. The Galaxy Note 7 is the sole version that has been launched, however its comes with outstanding design with having dual Edge curved display. The phone has easy to handle (with single hand) and lighter in weight.
